PAUL HEADS BACK TO CANADA & BOSTON
Following up on his recent shows in both cities, Paul returns to Boston and Toronto, Canada in early February. He plays Cafe 939 in Boston with Lucinda Balck Bear on Thurs Feb 10th and returns to the wonderful Drake Hotel, Tornoto Friday Feb 11th. Paul headlines this show. Paul plays the Fly By Night Club, Fremantle on Friday 28th January ( SOLD OUT) & Fowlers Live, Adelaide on Saturday 29th January.Both shows are now SOLD OUT. ARIA AWARDS & NOMINATIONS
Congratulations to Wayne Connelly who just won the ARIA Award for Best Engineer for his work on Paul Dempsey's Fast Friends single and to Paul who has once agian been nominated for Best Australian Male Artist for the 2010 ARIA Awards.
RARE PAUL DEMPSEY 'SCARED OF HORSES' ALBUM RE-RELEASED
In 1998 after the first Something for Kate album was released Paul Dempsey recorded what would technically be his first solo album. Released under the name 'Scared of Horses' and titled An Empty Flight it is a beautiful collection of music written & played by Dempsey featuring the lyrical and vocal talents of Glenn RIchards (Augie March), Jamie Hutchings (Bluebottle Kiss), Heinz Reigler (Not From There), Andrea Prudente (Arrosa), Dik (S:Bahn), Stephanie Ashworth (Sandpit, Something for Kate) and Laura Macfarlane (Ninety-nine).
After selling out its initial pressing in a flash, it has been near impossible to find ever since and subsequently became a rare and highly collectible item. The album is now available again via iTunes
